Cune Crianza is a red wine from the Denomination of Origin Calificada Rioja, made from a carefully selected blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha tinta, and Mazuelo grapes. The Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, also known as CVNE, oversees its production. The vineyards where the grapes are sourced are located in the Rioja Alta, ensuring that the grapes reach the winery in perfect condition for winemaking, with roughly half of the vineyards owned in Haro and surrounding areas, while the rest of the grapes are purchased from regional growers. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, where the must is controlled at temperatures of 25 to 27ºC to preserve the fruit character of this wine. In tasting, Cune Crianza displays a garnet color with a bluish rim and offers good aromatic intensity, where red fruits are balanced with notes of licorice and a woody background from its aging. On the palate, it is luscious, with silky, soft tannins that contribute to a gratifying retro-nasal experience.
