Domaine des Closiers Les Coudraies is a high-expression red wine made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, faithfully reflecting the character of the famous terroir of Parnay in the Loire Valley. This wine comes from the emblematic plot Les Coudraies, where the limestone soil imparts exceptional minerality, elegance, and depth to the wine. The harvest is manual and conducted in four successive selections to ensure that only the best grapes are used. After fully destemming the grapes, they are cooled and undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration. This, together with an approximate total maceration of one month, allows for the extraction of all their aromatic and structural potential. Once fermentation is complete, the wine ages for a year in Bordeaux barrels followed by another year in the bottle before being released to the market. Throughout winemaking, the addition of products is avoided, except for minimal doses of SO₂ for preservation. Visually, it presents a deep red color with violet hues. On the nose, it is distinguished by its refinement and expressiveness, exhibiting intense aromas of ripe dark fruits like cherry and blackberry, complemented by floral notes, mineral touches, and a subtle spicy background. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with a silky texture and finely integrated tannins, creating an experience of juicy and fresh fruit balanced by vibrant acidity. Its long and delicate finish is rich in nuances, making it ideal for pairing with red meats, game birds, or mushroom dishes.
