Georg Mosbacher Buntsandstein Wachenheim is an excellent white wine that reflects the winemaking tradition of the Mosbacher family, who have been producing wines since 1920 in the Palatinate region of Germany. This wine, made from Riesling grapes, specifically comes from the 'Gerümpel' plot, known for its pebbly sandstone soil, which adds unique characteristics to the wine. The grapes are hand-selected and exhibit a high degree of ripeness, ensuring the best quality. The vinification process includes controlled fermentation with selected yeasts at around 18°C in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on lees until bottling. Tasting this wine reveals intense aromas of vine peaches and apricots, accompanied by exotic notes of mango and honeydew melon. The vibrant acidity is balanced by a slight touch of residual sugar, providing a refreshing and juicy experience on the palate, with a long and satisfying finish.
