La Hormiga de Antídoto Tinto is a high-end wine produced under the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin.
Created by winemaker Bertrand Sourdais, this wine comes from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vineyards planted on clay soils with great potential in the San Esteban de Gormaz area. Its careful production and aging in French oak barrels make it an elegant, deep and expressive wine, with a marked terroir character.
Appearance: Intense garnet red in color with purple tones at the edge of the glass, it shows an excellent layer, suggesting concentration and structure.
Nose: Powerful and complex aromas that combine ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum with delicate notes of licorice and spices. The aging provides subtle touches of vanilla, cocoa and a mineral background that recalls the unique terroir of its origin.
Palate: On the palate, La Hormiga de Antídoto is a broad and enveloping wine. Its entry is smooth, but its volume expands progressively. The tannins are silky and well integrated, offering an excellent structure. The balance between ripe fruit and fresh acidity provides a long and persistent finish, with light balsamic and mineral touches.
