Marqués de riscal Grand Reserva is a red wine from La D.O.C. Rioja made by Bodegas Herederos del Marqués de Riscal.
In the elaboration of the great reserves, Riscal uses grapes of old vines of more than 80 years, from own productions or acquired to fixed local winegrowers. Selected wine for Grand Reserve after the unification of the harvest, it goes to American oak casks, where it will remain between two and a half years and three years, plus another three years in bottle before its commercialization
Marqués de riscal Grand Reserva is of intense cherry colour. It has a powerful nose, high intensity, with notes of black pepper, cinnamon and a very nice toasted background.
It came with good structure and with round tannins that leave a soft and persistent end of mouth. Wine with excellent guard potential.
This wine is well with ham, cured cheeses, red meats, all kinds of roasts and game stews.
