O Diviso is a red wine made with Mencía, Garnacha, Merenzao and others in the D.O. Valdeorras by Telmo Rodríguez.
When they visited the vineyard in 1993 they were fascinated by it. It has always been very unique because of its steep slopes, slightly hidden among chestnut trees, its high altitude and its northwest exposure. This perception became a reality when they started working there in 2011. Of its 2.9 hectares, 1.2 ha of old vines were kept and 1.7 ha are being recovered.
O Diviso is probably the most authentic expression of Valdeorras on the slopes of Bibei.
This vintage offers a different expression in O Diviso. It is always a deep and complete wine and it is also this year although with a higher point of ripeness, marked by the hot weather and unusually high temperatures during the summer. The almost 700 metres of altitude of this vineyard and its more northerly orientation, always give a breath of freshness and delicacy to this vineyard, even in vintages like this one.
The vineyards are organically cultivated.
