Sericis Cepas Viejas Monastrell 2020 Magnum 1.5L is an exquisite red wine from the Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.) Alicante, crafted by Bodegas Murviedro. This wine is made from hand-picked Monastrell grapes, ensuring the quality of the raw material. The vinification process includes gentle crushing and destemming, followed by a low-temperature prefermentative maceration lasting 3 to 4 days. Selected yeasts are added, and fermentation is controlled at a maximum temperature of 26°C. After a 21-day maceration, the wine is racked and aged for a minimum of 12 months in French oak barrels, imparting complexity and elegance. Visually, it presents an intense red color with purple hues, inviting appreciation of its high-intensity aroma, where very ripe fruit is prominent, complemented by a toasted oak background that adds sophistication. On the palate, it is characterized by a meaty texture, smooth progression, balanced tannins, and a roasted finish that leaves a pleasant aftertaste.
