Triga Blanco is an exceptional white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, belonging to the Denomination of Origin Alicante, produced by the prestigious Bodegas Volver. The grapes that create this wine come from the interior of the province of Alicante, specifically from the Medio Vinalopó region, known for its unique microclimate that offers long periods of heat and scarce rainfall, as well as poor chalky soils that lead to limited production. The harvest is done manually, using boxes of approximately 15 kg with holes to prevent fermentation before arriving at the winery. Within the winery, each grape is hand-selected before undergoing a careful process of destemming, pressing, and aging in new French oak barrels. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 12º C, followed by aging on lees, which gives the wine complexity, volume, and notable creaminess. The batonnage technique is employed to facilitate the wine's oxygenation, contributing to its distinctive flavor profile. Triga Blanco is clarified using pea and potato protein, making it vegan-friendly. This wine is characterized by an intense yellow color, accompanied by toasted aromas from the barrel and floral notes typical of the Chardonnay variety, as well as buttery hints that enrich its bouquet. On the palate, it presents itself as an intense and persistent wine, perfect for those who love delicate and complex flavors.
