Viña Sastre Crianza is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes of the D.O. Ribera del Duero by Viña Sastre.
The grapes grow in vineyards between 20 and 60 years old, at an altitude of 800m, on the slopes of the Duero River, in the Burgos town of Roa, headquarters of the D.O. Duero. Viña Sastre Crianza is made using traditional methods, so no mineral fertilisers, herbicides or insecticides are used.
After the corresponding maceration and fermentation, Viña Sastre Crianza is aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels with four rackings.
This beautiful wine has a beautiful bigarreau cherry colour, with garnet edges of high intensity.
The nose is very powerful and complex, highlighting the ripeness of the grape with aromas of black fruit, cocoa, toasted wood and spicy tones (cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper and some vanilla).
In the mouth it is smooth and sweet, very fruity, with sensations of black fruit, fine toast and aromatic wood, with a very long and complex finish.
