Melior is an exquisite red wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, produced by the renowned Bodega Matarromera, which has a presence in various Denominations of Origin (D.O.) in Spain, particularly in Ribera del Duero. This wine is characterized by its freshness and joy, with elegant tannins. The grapes come from the estate's own vineyards at Pago Villabuena, where they grow on a sandy-clay soil at approximately 800 meters above sea level. Melior undergoes a controlled fermentation process and is aged for 12 months: 6 months in new American oak barrels and another 6 months in the bottle, endowing it with a remarkable complexity of aromas ranging from ripe red fruits like strawberries and raspberries to tertiary aged notes such as coffee, licorice, and vanilla. Its body is rich and intense, with a long and persistent finish that makes it ideal to pair with dishes like grilled meats, light meat stews, cheeses, and cured meats. It is recommended to serve at temperatures between 16 and 18ºC.
