San Vicente is a monovarietal red wine made from the almost extinct native variety Tempranillo Peludo, grown in La Canoca, an exceptional vineyard of the Sonsierra Riojana. Since 1870, the Eguren family has worked in producing extraordinary wines that stand out in the region. The production is carried out artisanally, starting with a manual harvest where the best bunches are selected. In the winery, a second selection takes place, using only the best berries.
The aging process lasts 19 months and takes place in new Bordeaux barrels made of French (90%) and American (10%) oak. This process imparts to the wine a complexity and depth reflected in an intense tasting experience. In appearance, San Vicente presents a cherry red color, covered and with a high layer of garnet edges. On the nose, it is concentrated and expressive, with notes of fine toasting, coffee, cocoa, and a background of ripe black fruits with subtle floral hints. In the mouth, it stands out for its elegance and power, offering a balanced structure and a prolonged persistence.
This excellent wine is ideal for pairing with game meats and poultry, as well as red and gelatinous meats. It is recommended to enjoy it at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC to enhance its unique flavor profile.
