Mas Doix Les Crestes is the youngest, freshest, and most direct expression of the Mas Doix winery. This red wine is primarily made from Garnacha, accompanied by Cariñena and Syrah, sourced from selected vineyards on slate slopes (llicorella) in the Poboleda area. After aging for 8 months in second-year French oak barrels, the wine retains all the purity of the fruit. When served, it presents an attractive bright cherry red color of medium-high intensity. On the nose, it reveals a delight: dominant explosive notes of red fruit, such as strawberry and cherry, along with floral hints of violet and the unmistakable mineral and balsamic background characteristic of Priorat. On the palate, this wine is pure balance; it has a pleasant entry, a smooth mouthfeel, and vibrant acidity that makes it very elegant. Its tannins are fine and rounded, leaving a fresh, fruity, and lingering finish.
