Ocampo Listán Negro
The Ocampo Listán Negro is a young red wine that captures the essence of the flagship variety of the islands. Grown in volcanic soils and under the influence of trade winds, the Listán Negro offers a unique profile that combines fruitiness and minerality. After careful production (often with partial carbonic maceration to highlight the fruit), the wine presents a bright cherry-red color. On the nose, it is very expressive, featuring notes of ripe black fruits (blackberries, plums) alongside a hint of black pepper and a background of ash or very characteristic volcanic stone. On the palate, it is friendly, fresh, and very balanced, with soft tannins that make it extremely easy to drink. It is a wine with a lot of personality, ideal for pairing with grilled meats, hearty dishes, or traditional Canarian cheeses.
