Discover the Taittinger Follies de la Marquetterie Champagne, a unique creation with a rich history arising from the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the Folies vineyard. Its careful crafting and aging in bottle give it an elegant palate profile, ideal for pairing with roasted meats and fish in sauce.
Taittinger Follies de la Marquetterie is an exceptional champagne originating from the historical cradle of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This sparkling wine is the first champagne from a vineyard in Taittinger’s trajectory and is made from a blend of 45% Chardonnay and 55% Pinot Noir sourced from the Folies vineyard dominating the Château de la Marquetterie. The attention to detail in its production is remarkable: the harvest is early to ensure adequate sugar richness and maturity. Only the first press must is selected, and each batch is vinified in small quantities, some aged in old oak barrels. This champagne rests for 5 years in bottle on its lees, developing a deep yellow color with golden reflections and a fine, delicate bubble cord. Its nose is intense and fruity, offering an elegant bouquet with notes of peach and apricot compote, revealing subtle hints of brioche and vanilla as it airs. On the palate, it is broad, flexible, and fruity, showing a pronounced finish with woody chords.
