Llicorella Vitis
The Llicorella Vitis is a bold red wine made from a blend of Cariñena and Garnacha Tinta sourced from vineyards planted in pure slate soils (llicorella). This wine aims to reflect the most primal essence of Priorat, where the harshness of the terrain translates into concentration and an almost tangible minerality. On the nose, it unveils an intense palette of very ripe red and black fruits, interwoven with notes of licorice, hints of Mediterranean underbrush, and a smoky, earthy background from its time in wood. On the palate, it is a full-bodied and structured wine, with present yet mature tannins, and a long finish that leaves a distinct impression of dry stone and liqueur-like fruit. A powerful red, ideal for pairing with grilled red meats, legume stews, or a good oxtail.
