With a limited production of 13,000 bottles, it reflects the authenticity of the Sierra Cantabria terroir and the experience of David González.
Viña Salceda La Rellanilla is a unique expression of the Laguardia terroir and the winemaking knowledge that encompasses over 25 years of experience in recovering historic vineyards. This young wine, made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, seeks to highlight the purity of the fruit by avoiding oak aging. Sourced from a unique plot at 658 meters above sea level in the Sierra de Cantabria, La Rellanilla 2023 offers a fresh and vibrant profile, distancing itself from the classic and proposing a modern Rioja. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks with whole bunches, using traditional techniques that have been dormant since phylloxera. This process results in a wine with aromatic intensity, marked by mineral notes that evoke calcareous soils and slate. With a limited production of 13,000 bottles, this wine aims to rediscover the soul of Laguardia and is the first of the Parajes collection from Viña Salceda, reflecting its territory and quality.
