It contains bitter heteropside (coutareoside) which gives it an active hypoglycemic (anti-diabetes) effect, it also contains genin (hydroxycoumarin). The copalchi plant is generally used in the treatment of type II diabetes. It is also an excellent diuretic for the body, bitter tonic and febrifuge.

How to use:

Decoction, boil for 3-5 minutes 1 tablespoon of plant per cup of water, steep for a few minutes, strain and take a cup half an hour before meals.
