Yerba Mate de Taragüi is an infusion elaborated under the strictest quality controls, gluten free and T.A.C.C. (gluten) free. Mate is the infusion made with yerba mate leaves (Ilex paraguariensis), a plant native to Paraguay and Uruguay. These previously dried, cut and ground plants form yerba mate. It has a bitter taste due to its tannins. It has a stimulating effect because it contains caffeine, it is also considered a digestive and purifying infusion and is rich in antioxidants. Traditionally, it is drunk hot through a straw called bombilla placed in a small container, which is called calabash among other names, depending on the area.

How to use:

Fill the gourd with yerba mate in its three quarters, cover it with your hand and shake it with the mouth downwards, making the yerba be inclined on the gourd at approximately 45º. Moisten the yerba with warm (not boiling) water in the small cavity formed on one of the sides of the mate. Wait for it to be absorbed, prime again and then place the bombilla against the wall and do not move it any more. To prime a good mate, it is very important to heat the water so that it does not boil, it should not exceed 75 ºC. It is important to prime progressively, infusing only half and keeping the other half dry to lengthen the round.
