Biotona Bio Beginner's Matcha is a refined olive-colored green tea from Japan with a subtly bitter taste. It is exclusively produced from young tea leaves that are traditionally hand-picked in early May (first flush) after shading the bushes for 3 weeks. Beginner's Matcha is also very suitable for culinary use.

Ingredients:

Matcha green tea* (Camellia sinensis) (100%) from Japan. *organic cultivation

Directions:

To prepare matcha tea using the traditional method:

  1. Boil water (preferably slightly hard and slightly mineralized). Let the water cool to around 80°C (e.g. by opening the lid of your electric kettle for 10 minutes or pouring it 4-5 times to lower the temperature).
  2. Put 1 to 2 g of powdered tea (either 2 bamboo spoons or ½ teaspoon, according to your preference) in a bowl and cover with water (70-100 ml).
  3. Whisk the tea for about 15 seconds with the small bamboo whisk until a good frothy mixture is obtained.
