Carmelo Rodero Reserva 2020 comes from a notable family winery in Ribera del Duero. This wine is created partially from low-yield vineyards, reflecting the family’s philosophy of precision and elegance. The 2020 harvest consists of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines over 30 years old. The production employs careful techniques such as gravity fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels and 21 months aging in French oak. An additional resting period of two years in bottle precedes its commercialization. Its aromatic profile features notes of blackberry, plum, and ripe cherry, nuances of vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa, with hints of toasted coffee and sweet spices. On the palate, it is meaty, broad, and has silky tannins with excellent structure and balanced acidity, ideal for pairing with lamb, red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
