Psi 2024, in 0,75l format, is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Dominio de Pingus, Peter Sisseck’s project. It is made mainly from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and a small proportion of Garnacha from old vineyards spread across numerous villages in the region. Local growers work with vineyard-friendly practices. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks and the wine ages for around 18 months in used barrels and large wooden vats. New oak is avoided to preserve the purity of the fruit. On the nose it combines red and black fruit, such as raspberry, plum and blueberry, with floral, spicy and liquorice notes. On the palate it is juicy and balanced, with fine tannins, good acidity and a silky texture. Its fresh, refined profile aims to express the vineyard and finesse rather than power. Ideal with grilled meats, cured meats, small game dishes or mature cheeses.
