El Vínculo Crianza 2021 is a red wine produced by El Vínculo winery , located in Campo de Criptana in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain. The winery belongs to the Familia Fernández Rivera group , known for renowned estates such as Tinto Pesquera and Condado de Haza. The project was created to highlight the potential of old Tempranillo vineyards in La Mancha to produce structured and expressive wines.

The grapes come from Tempranillo vineyards planted at around 700 metres of altitude , on clay and sandy soils that allow the fruit to achieve good concentration while maintaining freshness and balance. After harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks , preserving the varietal expression of Tempranillo.

The wine is then aged for around 18 months in American oak barrels , a traditional choice of the Fernández Rivera family that contributes notes of spice, vanilla and toast while maintaining the fruit character of the wine. It subsequently rests in bottle before release, allowing the wine to develop additional harmony and complexity.

On the nose it reveals aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum , accompanied by hints of liquorice, vanilla, cocoa and sweet spices from oak ageing. On the palate it is well-structured and balanced , with smooth tannins and a long finish marked by dark fruit and subtle toasted notes.
