Valbuena 5th Year, vintage 2019, is presented in a 1.5-liter Magnum format, standing out for its careful selection during a challenging year. Drought and frost made the harvest a true challenge, yet excellent results were achieved by adapting fermentation and aging. This wine evolves in wooden vats during its second year, seeking harmony and tension that makes it unique. The climatic conditions of the vineyard cycle in 2017 played a crucial role, from a severe winter with very low temperatures to a period of above-average temperatures from February to June. The vineyard budded early, though affected by abrupt temperature changes and frosts that made the use of antifrost towers necessary to protect the harvest. Valbuena 5º is more than a wine; it is a story of overcoming and adaptation, with an intense profile that reflects its origin.
