Valeyo 2022 is a red wine from the Denomination of Origin Bierzo, made by Bodegas Mauro, a family project led by Mariano García. This wine comes from an exclusive plot of about 3 hectares called Miguel Rey, located in Valtuille de Arriba, León, at an altitude of 650 meters. Its sandy and loose soils contribute freshness and finesse to the final product. The composition of Valeyo 2022 includes 95% Mencía and 5% Godello, giving it its distinctive character. The fermentation is carried out using native yeasts, and the wine ages for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels of 500 liters, both new and used, allowing the wine to maintain the expression of the vineyard without excessive wood influence.
