Volver Single Vineyard 2023 is a red wine from Bodegas Volver, from the D.O. Castilla la Mancha. It is made exclusively from Tempranillo from Finca Los Juncares, in the heart of La Mancha, a vineyard planted in 1957 on very poor, sandy soils. Its old vines and low yields enhance the wine’s concentration and personality. The grapes are harvested by hand, with selection and fermentation using native yeasts. After malolactic fermentation, it is aged for 14 to 15 months in French oak barrels. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered to preserve its richness and character. On the nose, blackcurrant, liquorice and tobacco stand out, with toasted notes and ripe black fruit. On the palate it is broad, concentrated and structured, with a silky texture and a long, balanced and persistent finish. It can be enjoyed now or left to evolve in bottle. It is recommended to serve between 16 and 18 ºC and pair with grilled red meats, roasts, game dishes, Iberian cured meats and aged cheeses.
