OINOZ Crianza 2022 is a 100% Tempranillo red wine with D.O.Ca Rioja, made by Bodega Carlos Moro in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, the youngest winery of Bodegas Familiares Matarromera. It comes in a 75 cl bottle and has an alcohol content of 14.5%. It comes from vineyards located at around 600 metres above sea level, on mostly clay-limestone soils, with vines between 35 and 80 years old. Harvesting is done by hand, with double selection of bunches and berries. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 26 °C for 10-14 days. It is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and then rests for 12 months in bottle before release. It is broad, smooth and elegant. On the nose, ripe red fruit stands out, accompanied by mineral hints and toasted notes from ageing. Visually, it shows a very covered, lively robe, with dark cardinal red and purplish tones, clean and bright. On the palate, it offers sweet tannins that add energy and freshness, with balanced acidity.
