O Luar do Sil Godello is a white wine from D.O. Valdeorras. Its winery, founded in 2014 in Seadur, Orense, is a project by Pago de los Capellanes and the Rodero Villa family. It is presented in a 75 cl bottle, vintage 2025, with 13,5 % alcohol and no barrel ageing. It comes from old vineyards at 450 m altitude, in small plots on steep slopes with granitic soils, worked by hand. After manual harvest, the grapes are sorted on a table and fully destemmed. They are chilled to 9 °C and left to rest for 4 hours in macerators before gentle pressing. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature; afterwards the lees are separated and the wine rests for a few months until bottling. It has a pale yellow color, clean and bright. On the nose, green fruit, floral notes and a tropical hint stand out. On the palate it is pleasant and silky, with controlled acidity and a long, delicate finish. Limited production, it stands out for its freshness and mineral character.
