The 1866 is a gran reserva solera brandy of the D.O. Jerez, with more than 100 years of tradition behind it. 100 years of experience of racking of criaderas and soleras on American oak barrels, which have been aging with the spirit itself to achieve a powerful flavor always homogeneous, full of vanilla and nuts and of course, the wood of the barrel itself where it gets to age about 12 years
You will like...Its smell of wood, vanilla and nuts. This is a brandy with personality and powerful, which lingers long in the mouth.
It is a brandy with personality and powerful, which lingers long in the mouth An extra...The way this brandy is aged, the criaderas and soleras, is typical of the Jerez and Montilla-Moriles DOs. This curious way of "teaching" how to age wines, rums and brandies, consists of emptying the American oak casks of the oldest brandy and "renewing" it with young brandy, while the old brandy is incorporated into another cask of more recent brandy; in such a way that different maturities are "mixed". The product is homogeneous and normally has no ageing
