Vinya Gigi 2023 is the flagship white wine of Jean Leon and one of the great Chardonnays of Spain. Coming from a single classified estate, this wine reflects Jean Leon's legacy, being a pioneer in introducing this variety to Penedès in the 1960s. The 2023 vintage, featuring an exceptionally early harvest, presents extraordinary balance and great aromatic intensity. Partial fermentation in wood and prolonged aging on lees add volume and complexity while preserving the vineyard's characteristic freshness. On the nose, it displays aromas of pineapple, peach, pear, and citrus, with hints of nuts, butter, and vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with vibrant acidity and a long, refined finish. Ideal as a companion for seafood, noble fish, white meats, and Mediterranean cuisine, served between 8 and 10 °C.
