My father Jordi and I, Carla, take care of the olive trees throughout the year. This involves keeping the fields clean and free of weeds, protecting the trees from pests (especially rabbits), repairing any damage that may occur either due to weather (winds) or due to local fauna (sometimes a roe deer or wild boar plays in the fields and the tree has to be replanted if it was still small). Tie the trees so that they grow straight and prune them so that they can bear fruit. Harvest the olives and take them to our trusted mill!
Once we bring the olives to the Cooperative of La Granadella to be pressed we let them bottle them for us (since we do not yet have a workshop) and we take them in oil ready to distribute to the community of Anècdota.
We keep our stock at home under a pantry temperature.
I do some deliveries nearby myself, as well as specific or custom orders (weddings, events, etc.) and orders to restaurants, cafes and stores we work with. For now, the rest we entrust to SEUR :)
