The Trout is a white wine made with Albariño grapes in the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. After the disentailment of Mendizábal in 1837, the Alonso Anguiano Family acquired the property that gives its name to the Winery, Finca Garabelos.

Since then, from generation to generation, this family has taken care of the vineyards with care and dedication, as they are their legacy.

Elaboration and aging

La Trucha is a white wine without aging made entirely from Albariño grapes. The grapes used for the production of this wine are harvested manually and in 16-kilogram boxes to preserve the quality as much as possible.

After destemming and pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and at a low temperature to preserve the aroma. Finally, to conclude the process, the wine is aged on its lees for 3-6 months.

  • Appearance: La Trucha has a straw yellow color with greenish traces, very clean and bright.
  • Nose: On the nose, it presents an intense aroma, where hints of fruits blend with flowers, peach, apricot, pineapple, and jasmine, with subtle notes of light aging on lees.
  • Palate: On the palate, it is unctuous, sweet, pleasant, and harmonious, with an excellent aftertaste that lingers in the memory.

La Trucha is ideal to accompany all kinds of seafood, rice dishes, and fish. Serving temperature is 8ºC.
