History:
Israel and Hector are the fourth generation of their family to work with cereals in one way or another.
Their father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all bakers in the small town of El Barraco, Avila.
Their family continues to bake real, excellent-quality bread and they are including fresh bread as an ingredient in some of our recipes, as a way to reuse the amazing bread produced every day in our family bakery.
Tasting notes:
Visual: Russet red, slight haze. Medium-low carbonation. A light, creamy, off-white head with medium retention.
Olfactory: The roasted malts add sweet touches, with flavours like toasted caramel. These aromas can be fully appreciated when the beer is consumed at between 10 and 12°C.
Flavour: Roasted caramel and black chocolate are the main features which set it apart from other craft beers in the same style. The hops combine with the malt to create a liquorice aftertaste that is at once bitter and slightly sweet.
Serving and Pairing:
Perfect with meat casseroles and stews. The sweet touches make it perfect with mature cheeses, as well as with desserts. Try it with cocido madrileño (meat, vegetable and chickpea stew), beans with clams, cod with tomato, grilled red meat, Nevado cheese mature goat cheese from Valdecabras and brownies with vanilla ice cream.
Served between 6 and 8 ºC.
