Azpilicueta Crianza is a red wine produced by the Alcorta winery in the Rioja Designation of Origin.
Azpilicueta is one of the leading brands in the Rioja Designation of Origin. Their wines are made with the traditional varieties of Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo.
Azpilicueta Crianza is made from Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%), and Mazuelo (5%) grape varieties. For its elaboration, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25ºC, after which it macerates for about 12 days.
After the vinification process, Azpilicueta Crianza undergoes aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by another 6 months of bottle aging to complete its refinement.
Azpilicueta Crianza is ideal to accompany cured meats, rice dishes, vegetables, mushrooms, and white and red meats. It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 17 and 18ºC.
