Lara and Sara is a cheese made with pasteurized milk from Galician cows and goats, winner of the Silver medal at the World Cheese Awards 2024 held in Portugal and chosen as the second Best Blue Cheese in Spain in 2019.

The Lara and Sara cheese is the first Galician blue cheese with a pale yellow paste. It has a creamy and elastic texture on the palate. It has a mild lactic flavor with slightly spicy and somewhat bitter notes that are very balanced.

Its natural rind covered with mold, from the penicillium fungus, is edible.

It comes from Quesería Prestes, a family company from San Simón (Lugo) where their main values are respect for tradition, care in production, and the high quality of their raw materials, resulting in truly award-winning gourmet delicacies both nationally and internationally.
