Elaboration and Aging

Cair Cuvée 2019 is a blend of Tempranillo and Merlot from low-yield vineyards planted at around 900 meters above sea level, which produce small double-selected grapes before being vinified. It is produced by Luis Cañas.

Aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels between one and three years old.

Tasting Notes for Cair Cuvée 2019

• Appearance: Cair Cuvée has a cherry red color with intense garnet edges. It has a medium-high intensity and is very bright, with fine tears.
• Nose: The nose is highly intense, with powerful ripe black fruit and intense dairy notes. Gradually, as it opens up, it releases spicy aromas and fine toasted notes.
• Palate: It has a fleshy and powerful palate, where initially the fruit gives way to intense toasty and spicy flavors before reappearing in the aftertaste. It has good, defined and refreshing acidity, as well as a strong tannic sensation. It has a long and persistent finish.

Food Pairing

Meat and vegetable rice dishes, cured meats, grilled red meats, roasts, and white meats with sauce.

It is recommended to serve this red wine at a temperature of 16ºC.
