Calafuria Tormaresca is a rosé wine made from Negroamaro grapes in the Salento IGT region (Italy) by the Marchesi Antinori winery.
Calafuria was born in the homonymous estate, owned by the Antinori family and located in Apulia, in the Salento area.
It is produced exclusively with Negroamaro grapes, selected by hand, gently destemmed and pressed. The must obtained is deposited in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 10ºC. Subsequently, fermentation is carried out at a low temperature, around 16ºC, to keep the primary aromas of the grapes intact. The wine is then aged briefly in steel and for 4 months in the bottle before being released onto the market.
It is a seductive wine of a bright pink colour with coral reflections.
The nose opens with delicate aromas of red fruits and raspberry.
The palate is fresh and tasty, with a perfect balance between smoothness and acidity.
