100% of the grapes come from the towns of Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, Moradillo, Hontoria, Peñafiel, Quintana del Pidio, Anguix and Curiel de Duero, with average altitudes between 850 and 900 meters, all located in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid. The grapes are harvested from old vineyards that range in age from 35 to 100 years.
Aged in French oak barrels for 460 days, with 15% of the final blend completing malolactic fermentation in first-year French oak barrels.
Color: At first glance, Tintafina Casa Rojo is presented with an intense cherry red color, bordered by violet reflections that highlight its youth and vitality. Its high, bright layer anticipates a wine of great concentration and body.
Aroma: On the nose, this red wine displays a rich aromatic palette dominated by ripe black fruits such as plum and blackberry, complemented by spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and a subtle hint of liquorice. The ageing in barrels adds complexity with nuances of vanilla, cocoa and a slight toasted note.
Taste: On the palate, Tintafina Casa Rojo is robust and well structured. The tannins are silky and well integrated, providing an enveloping texture that perfectly balances the fresh acidity. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a pleasant impression of ripe fruits and a subtle mineral touch that reflects its origin.
