Coudoulet de Beaucastel Rouge is a Côtes du Rhone red wine made from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault in France by Château de Beaucastel.
Chateau de Beaucastel has been in existence since the 16th century. Today, the Perrin family looks after 100 hectares of which 3/4 are under the AOC Châteauneuf-du-pape appellation and 1/4 under the AOC Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel.
Every year, one or two hectares are grubbed up and an equal area is replanted. With 13 vines, each year the Château de Beaucastel signs a unique style giving exceptional wines of power, structure, elegance and freshness.
Coudoulet Chateau de Beaucastel, the "Mourvèdre" brings aromas of leather, tobacco and spices. The other main grape variety, Grenache, gives Coudoulet its curvature and intense fruit, typical of the Côte du Rhône. Syrah and Cinsault, which each account for 20% of the blend, bring tannins and aromatic complexity to Coudoulet de Beaucastel.
Loaded with red fruits, bouquet garni, leather and garrigue aromas and flavours. Round, forward and still with depth on the mid-palate.
