Elaboration and aging

Cune Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo (85%) and Graciano, Garnacha, and Mazuelo (15% combined). Cune Reserva undergoes an alcoholic fermentation that lasts about ten days. After this process, malolactic fermentation takes place.

It is aged in French and American oak barrels for at least 24 months. After the barrel aging, it rests in the cellar for another year.

Tasting notes for Cune Reserva

  • Appearance: Cune Reserva has a cherry color with a garnet rim.
  • Nose: On the nose, it displays delicate spicy notes (vanilla and cinnamon) with subtlety and elegance, toasted and smoky undertones that give way to hints of red fruits in jam with a pleasant balsamic finish of licorice and leather.
  • Palate: On the palate, it is round, balanced, and full of flavor. It develops noble and integrated tannins that provide a pleasant mouthfeel. It also has abundant notes of ripe fruit, which accompany pleasant hints derived from oak aging. Complex and persistent finish, with spicy and fruity notes.

Pairing

Cune Reserva is ideal to accompany stews, mushrooms, grilled beef, lamb, cured cheeses, and roasts. It is recommended to decant before consuming and serve at a temperature of 17ºC.
