Fontaine Gagnard Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2015

Fontaine Gagnard Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a white wine made from Chardonnay by Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard.

Vines from 30 to 80 years old right at the foot of the Batard vineyard at an altitude of 240m. This plot is much stonier and steeper. The name Criots is a French diminutive for the limestone rock. This plot is stonier and steeper than its neighbour Bâtard and with more sun exposure.In Burgundy, tradition is deeply rooted, and winemaking at Fontaine-Gagnard is no exception. All wines are vinified with indigenous yeast. The whites are aged for one year and the reds for 18 months in barrels made by the domaine.

Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the finest traditional domaines in the Côte d'Or, a true Chassagne specialist, producing excellent wines that set the bar high with each vintage and reflect its wide range of great terroirs.

Tasting notes of Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 

Fine and delicate nose with notes of mandarin, orange, melon, mango and floral notes. Velvety palate that is refined despite its ample volume; lingering, complex and balanced finish.
