Buckthorn is a medicinal plant used as a remedy for occasional constipation. Its active ingredients are mainly found in the bark, with laxative properties. It causes an increase in peristalsis in the colon and helps to evacuate feces. The infusion takes effect within 6-12 hours.
Usage:
Decoction (boil for 2-5 minutes) a dessert spoonful per cup of water. Let it rest for a few minutes, strain and drink a cup before bedtime or divided into two doses, morning and evening. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation in children under 12 years.
