The hens at Granja Avícola Redondo are raised in wooden chalets, with the possibility of feeding on the plot in a semi-free range system.

The farm is located in the municipality of El Barraco, in Ávila, where the poultry farm has designed and built a poultry complex equipped with the latest advances that have made them the first Spanish poultry farm to comply with strict European regulations.

The farm produces white free-range eggs from white hens, and brown eggs from red hens. All of them are raised outdoors, taking shelter in wooden chalets and enjoying background music.

A total of 500 chalets house 5,000 hens, fed with natural feed, in the countryside, and with all the comforts that could be found in a conventional chalet, such as heating or an ecological cooling system, which helps maintain a constant temperature for better animal comfort, or a bath in which the hens are washed after laying the egg in special nests.

This semi-free range rearing system allows the hens to peck at the ground, although they also have automatic feeders and drinkers.
