It is a typical chorizo from León with a traditional flavor, made with natural casing, selected pork meat, and lightly smoked with oak or holm oak wood and cured in natural cellars located in the mountains of León. Starting with the best pieces of pork ham, this unmistakable Leónese sausage is made with a high percentage of pork ham and a reduced percentage of pork belly, spicy paprika from the Vera D.O., salt, and natural garlic. It is one of the most representative products of the province of León.
This delicious sausage can be eaten alone or in a sandwich, cooked, as a tapa, in stews. It also pairs well with red wines and all kinds of cheeses.
