Jean-Claude Nuits Saint Georges Les Charbonnières is a red wine made from Pinot Noir in Nuits-Saint-Georges (Burgundy) by Jean-Claude Boisset.
Les Charbonnières is located in the southern part of the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where the altitude is a little lower than in the northern part.
The wine is aged for 8 months in contact with its lees without racking. The barrels used are French oak (37% new) with a very light toasting.
Ageing potential: 5 years and more.
Appearance: Carmine red.
Nose: Complex aromas of dried flowers along with black fruit and mineral notes.
Palate: Black fruit and forest floor notes. Extremely fine and elegant tannins.
