From stowaway to taxi driver in New York, owner of one of the most successful restaurants in Hollywood and founder of a winery named after him. Jean Leon's life is the eternal story of the American dream. Aware of his origins, Vinya Palau is a tribute to his hometown of Santander, the starting point of a successful career. This single-varietal, organic, limited production wine comes from the 'Vinya Palau' vineyard. A small plot of 10 hectares where Merlot vines planted in 1991 are grown.

Ruby red colour, with aromas of red fruits and spices. Fresh and voluptuous entry, with sweet tannins.


Tasting notes
Ruby red colour of medium-high robe. On the nose it stands out for its soft aromas of red fruits (plums, blackberries and blueberries). The soft notes of toast and spices (eucalyptus and clove) stand out as a result of its ageing in oak barrels. On the palate it is fresh, long and creamy, with round, sweet tannins and a long finish.


Gastronomy

Ideal with poultry dishes such as duck breast with red fruit sauce. It also goes well with fish such as cod.
