Júlia Bernet Brut Nature Reserva 130 is a Corpinnat sparkling wine produced at the Júlia Bernet winery, located in Catalonia, and made with xarel-lo.
Júlia Bernet's personal project was initiated by Xavier Bernet in 2001, when he decided to stop selling grapes from the family vineyards in Subirats (Barcelona) to create his own wines and sparkling wines. This decision has resulted in limited productions of high quality with a marked indigenous character. Since 2018, Júlia Bernet has been part of the European Union's Collective Mark Corpinnat, a seal that guarantees the quality of organic sparkling wines.
The Júlia Bernet Brut Nature R-130 comes from own vineyards grown organically, using sustainable practices and environmentally friendly products. The vineyards, planted by Xavier's grandfather, consist of around 130 vines and are located on the steep slopes of the Ordal mountain, an area of difficult access but with great geological quality. The grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum moment of ripeness.
This sparkling wine is made using the traditional method, starting with the vinification of the grapes by spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Subsequently, a second fermentation is carried out in the bottle, with a minimum of 46 months of aging in rhyme. No sulfur or liquor is added during the process.
