Lalomba Rosé 2020, made mainly with Garnacha and a touch of Viura, seems to us like an explosion of flowers and red fruits with a silky and round mouthfeel. A great rosé.
Bodega Ramón Bilbao was founded in 1924 in Haro, Rioja Alta, producing quality wines ever since. In 2015, it was named the best Spanish winery at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
The clusters were manually harvested and placed in small 15 kg boxes. They were refrigerated and transported to the winery, where they remained in a cold environment for another 24 hours. Next, they went through an optical selection table, obtaining the best selection of whole, undamaged grapes. They were then taken to the press, where maceration began in an inert atmosphere. After six hours and several samples, the winemakers decided to rack the wine and obtained the must using the traditional gravity bleeding method, without automatic pressing. The yield is approximately 40%. This must is transferred to a stainless steel tank where it is allowed to settle for 24 hours, after which the clean must is collected to ferment for twenty days at less than 15º to preserve the delicate aromas. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is racked for further aging with the fine lees for about a month.
Ramón Bilbao Rosé is ideal for accompanying roasted vegetables, fatty fish, sushi, and mussels.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 10ºC.
