From the valley of the Duero River, in the heart of Toro, Coral Duero has always sought to produce the most authentic and outstanding wines of this wine region, which is why it makes its best wine, Las Parvas, unique.

The vineyard from which the must is extracted is over 140 years old and grows at an altitude of 780 metres. The vines are west-facing, close to the Guareña river and below them we find a sandy hillock, with gravel and rocks underneath. These alluvial soils allow for proper drainage and impart minerality to the wine, as well as lower pH levels that allow for extraordinary quality, balance and elegance.

In this area, summers are short, hot, dry and mostly clear, and winters are extremely cold and windy. Throughout the year, the temperature typically varies from -11°C to 30°C, but rarely drops below 5°C or rises above 35°C.
The temperature of the grapes is very low
The grapes are harvested by hand, brought to the winery and cooled to 4°C immediately after harvest. With temperature-controlled fermentation and a very long maceration, the process begins with two pump-overs per day, followed by just one until the end of the maceration. The whole operation takes around 30 days
Once transferred to new French oak barrels, they are aged there for 24 months, maturing in bottle for 1 year
All this process makes Las Parvas a deep ruby red wine, concentrated and intense. On the nose we find an explosion of aromas as soon as the bottle is uncorked. Full of complexity with a mix of red and black fruits, toasted and mineral notes.
On the palate we find a mix of red and black fruits
On the palate we find a bodied wine and its complexity stands out through various flavours of ripe oak and fruit.

Corral Duero is a winery with 32 hectares of Tinta de Toro (a grape of the Tempranillo variety grown in the Toro DO) divided into four different plots
He works side by side with Andrés Gutiérrez, the winemaker in charge of making wines that brim with sensitivity and raise the already high standards of the internationally renowned Toro Denomination of Origin.
We are proud to say that this winery is one of the best in the world
Some of the vines in these plots are 130 years old and most of them resisted the phylloxera plague that devastated European vineyards at the beginning of the 20th century. That is why they pamper their crops to the extreme, providing only natural and organic fertilisers to vines that live under the scorching summer sun and the most extreme winters in Spain, with little rain and a lot of cold
The wines of this winery have won several awards for their quality and the palates of the general public endorse the good work of this group of professionals
