Liger-Belair Bourgogne Chardonnay "Les Charmes" is a white Burgundy wine produced in the prestigious area of Lugny, within the Mâconnais, considered the historical birthplace of the first Chardonnay in the region.
It comes from vines over 40 years old, planted on south-facing white limestone soils, which provide freshness, balance, and a unique identity to the wine. The presence of "musqué" Chardonnay vines gives it an original and distinctive aromatic character. Vinification is carried out with manual harvesting, gentle pressing, and 14 months of aging in stainless steel tanks, without oak, in order to preserve the purity and authentic expression of the terroir.
Bright yellow color with golden reflections.
On the nose, it offers elegant aromatic intensity with exotic fruits, fresh citrus, and delicate floral nuances, complemented by subtle spicy notes of white pepper and star anise.
On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, and well-structured, with a velvety texture balancing its fruit character with lively acidity. The finish is long, powerful, and refined, with persistent hints of fruit and spices that enhance its complexity.
