Loess is an excellent white wine made from the verdejo variety, sourced from a superb vineyard planted in 1936 in Nava del Rey, Valladolid. It is fermented in new French oak barrels, where the wine then remains with its fine lees for around six months. Its production is limited to 5,500 bottles, which delight us with their attractive and groundbreaking design.
Varieties: 100% Verdejo. Tasting Note: Sight: Intense lemon yellow color with green reflections. Clean and bright wine. Smell: Floral and white fruit aromas appear as a first impression, followed by tropical fruits and herbaceous and balsamic notes that provide freshness, mixed with tertiary aromas from the wood. These last aromas are very subtle when the wine is still, but they gain prominence with oxygenation and tempering of the wine. Taste: Soft, pleasant, and enveloping entry. It is an explosive and complex wine in aromas, and the combination of woods makes it voluptuous, but at the same time it has a balanced acidity that will give it a long life and freshness. Very persistent on the palate, with a slight bitter touch at the end typical of the variety. Serving Temperature and Pairing: Between 9 and 12ºC. Excellent pairing with grilled oily fish and grilled white meats.
